Jane Pejtersen’s uniqueness comes from her American and European background. She is fluent in English and Danish thanks to her parents.
In 2002 Jane moved to NYC to continue her studies in acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and was later offered a teaching position at their Young Actors Program.
Jane received the arts grant from American-Scandinavian Society in 2005 for helping spread Scandinavian Culture in New York. Among some of the highlights: Patriotically singing the Danish National Anthem at The Giants Stadium and appearing with a Danish accent opposite Sam Waterston in Law and Order. She is the Danish voice for Continental Airlines which have put many of her friends at ease while flying overseas. She is also one of the founding members of the newly established theatre company SATC; Scandinavian American Theatre Company.
Her artistic life has primarily been in American theatre in New York City. She has played a range of characters and is also a skilled singer.
Jane is a member of the classical New York theatre company, Handcart Theatre Ensemble. She is thankful for having the opportunity to work with such a talented company who produces great plays with material from modern poets.
